Acorn Platens are high tensile strength gray iron sand castings featuring 1 3/4" square holes spaced on 3 1/2" centers. The top surface and side edges are machined to a flatness of 0.005" per linear foot. We offer four standard sizes, as noted below, any of which can be easily bolted together expanding the work area to meet your requirements. The platens will offer a lifetime of service with quick, easy and accurate set up from the smallest piece to a maximum of six tons depending on platen size.
